Registered Nurse Home Care Navigator with AccentCare Home Health.

Why did you choose to attend MDCC?

I wanted to be close to home. I grew up in a small town and the thought of going to a large school was too overwhelming. I wanted to attend somewhere that felt like “home”. MDCC was just that... Home!

Who was your favorite teacher during your time at MDCC and why?

Melissa Barrett- I have known her for many years but her love for nursing and teaching was far above others. She knew how to teach all individuals and she knew ways to make her lessons stick!

What is your best memory from your time at MDCC?

My best memory would be the many I have as a dancer and cheerleader. I spent my first years at MDCC on these teams. The friendships I made have continued to last. I loved home football games. From the pep rally’s to the end of the game- it was always an exciting time. And the fans always showed up and showed out!

For you personally, what encapsulates the term "Trojan Spirit"?

Go Head- Mo Head!!! Trojan Spirit is not just a term... It is a team that everyone is welcomed to be on. If you ever stepped foot on campus, you immediately felt the energy and enthusiasm that every individual has for that school and all the teams there! Trojan Spirit stays with you for long term!
