Alumni Awards

The MDCC Alumni Association gives out multiple awards each year, including the MDCC Alumnus of the Year and the Trojan Spirit Award. These honors are given to both alumni and faculty/staff for years of dedication and support for our college.
This award is given to a destinguished Alumni who has proven their dedication to MDCC through years of continued support to our institution. Recipients must be an alumnus of SAHS, MHS, SJC, MDJC or MDCC for at least 2 semesters. They must also have made a contribution to the college as well as their local community.
Alumnus of the Year
Each year, the MDCC Alumni Association recognizes a faculty or staff member for their distinguished service to the college. The honoree receives a $100 cash prize from the Alumni Association and is honored at the Fall Alumni Social.
Recipients must meet the following criteria:
Be a current full-time employee (faculty, contractual staff, and non-contractual staff) with at least 5 years of employment at MDCC.
The Trojan Spirit Award recognizes faculty and staff who both exemplify and inspire the positive values and behaviors that define the Trojan Spirit. Recipients of this award are characterized by their generosity as well as the giving of their time and abilities above and beyond the general job requirements in support of MDCC’s mission. This is shown through their dedication to our students, faculty, and staff and their continuous support for all things MDCC.
